Secretariat is an organization app that keeps your to-dos, deadlines and calendar in one place and tracks how you’re keeping up. By creating an account or using Secretariat, you agree to these terms.
Early access
Secretariat is in early access. Features may change, break or go away, and it’s provided as is, without warranties of any kind. Keep your own copies of anything important.
Your account
You’re responsible for keeping your password safe and for what happens under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to use Secretariat. You can delete your account at any time in Settings.
Your stuff
What you put in Secretariat, and what it pulls from your apps, stays yours. You let us store and process it only to run Secretariat for you, as the Privacy Policy explains.
Connected apps
When you connect another app, you give Secretariat permission to read the data that app’s consent screen lists, only to run Secretariat for you. Secretariat doesn’t change anything in those apps, except adding events to your Google Calendar if you turn that on. Your use of those apps is still governed by their own terms. You can disconnect any of them at any time.
If you connect Secretariat to Claude or another AI app, that app can read and add to your list when you ask it to, and its own terms cover what happens in your conversation there.
The assistant and AI features
Secretariat uses AI to read your classes and calendar, for example to find readings, work out what’s due, and answer questions about a syllabus. AI can make mistakes, so your syllabus, Canvas and your professors are the final word on what’s due and when. The assistant only suggests actions, and nothing is created or changed until you confirm it, so check what it proposes before you do.
Paid plans
Some features need a paid plan. If you subscribe, Stripe handles the payment, your plan renews each month or year until you cancel, and you can cancel any time from Settings. Cancelling keeps your plan until the end of the period you paid for, and your data is never deleted because a plan ends.
Acceptable use
Don’t use Secretariat to break the law, to access data that isn’t yours, or to try to disrupt or get around its security. We can suspend accounts that do.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, Secretariat isn’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, like a missed deadline, meeting or grade, arising from your use of the service.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms and will change the date above when we do. Questions: hello@getsecretariat.com. Our Privacy Policy explains how your data is handled.
